Sheep
We raise Katahdin sheep (or Katahdin crosses), which we breed to a Gulf Coast ram. Katahdin's are a hair sheep breed, which naturally shed their wool each summer. A breed originally bred and developed in South Africa, they do well in our hot North Carolina summers. The sheep are raised on grass and clover pastures with minimal grain supplements, which are antibiotic and hormone free.
